Tuesday
Good day to everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you are ready and excited for another week of school. This week we will be finishing up Chapter One which introduced us to Earth Science. Thursday will be our 'chapter assessment' to make sure everyone is understanding the topics we have been discussing and working with in class. To get started please take a moment and complete the opener below while I take roll. Opener for Tuesday
Up next we will go over a very short section of notes to finish off the chapter, so please open up your section 1.6 People and the Environment notes. After we finish these notes I will show you how to put all of them together. Therefore, it will be easier for you to study from.
Our activity for today is to make flashcards using Keynote. We will highlight important key terms that we have gone over in the chapter. Then on Thursday, we will use the first half of the class to study off of each others flashcards before we embark on our assessment. Here are the directions:
1) You will make flashcards for ten selected terms
2) Two slides per term, for a total of twenty slides
3) First slide just has the vocabulary term in big letters
4) Second slide has an explanation of the term and a picture to help further describe the term
5) Repeat steps 1-4 for all ten terms.
Be sure to ask me if there are any questions. This is due at the end of the period, so stay on track and get busy!

Good day to everyone. Plans have changed since the last time we met. I did not realize at the beginning of the week that many of the football players would be missing class today. Therefore, we are moving the test to Monday. Today will be filled with study, review, and I am going to even give you a chance to make up work that you are missing. That's right, it's like a freebee from me to help you get all caught up. If you are all done with everything and don't want to continue to study for Monday's test, I have put together some extra credit assignments that you can work on to score some bonus points for the test. One option would be to help finish the large biocircles collage project that we started a few weeks ago. The other two assignments are as linked below. Please ask if you have any questions.
